The thing about some directors is that they are subjective. Some movies turn out not so good *ahem* watchmen... Well, that or the actors aren't very good *ahem* twilight...
I suppose the new generation is subjective itself...
Subjective is really good. Balance though! It's good to have inward and external conflict. very important. but it all comes down to the execution, and most importantly story. story's very important. but duh everything else matters.
