Fantastic cinematography. The camerawork is nice and the thing looks beautiful.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a ridiculously cliche plot not complimented by the poor acting.

But the artistic aspect is great. I assume that's what you're behind (being the artist), so major props to you, man.

Oct. 28, 2008 | 10:02 PM SpikeVallentine responds:

I still wanted to do it even if it was cliche cause I never done it before, now I gained experience points! but yes, VERY CLICHE! Oh hey! we agree on something. <3

everything in this could have been improved.

I appreciate your honesty.

thank you for your appreciation.

That was the best thing i've seen all week! All of your work is just pure genius! =D

The ending was quite sad, but it was really clever as well, with the other guy and his family and all that =]

thank you for your appreciation. hmmm! my next goal is something you seen all month!

Oct. 29, 2008 | 9:25 AM SSJ1SonGokou says:

This is just amazing coming from just a regular person. The cinematography was very professional and beautiful to look at. There were a few flaws. One being some of the acting. A few of the actors just didn't seem to pull you in enough to make them seem real, and not actors. The biggest flaw was the fighting. It just seemed very neatly put together. It should seem spontaneous like the actors seem like they're really fighting. The guns shots seemed very carefully edited, and looked very real. The blood effect from the sword being stabbed into the psycho guy looked like it really was being stabbed into him. Well done. All I can say is that you need to work on your fight scenes and get a few better actors. Also, the twist ending was interesting. One more thing, the plot was super cliche, but it seemed like you all had fun with it, so that's all that matters. Good luck on future projects. Keep going, this has the potential to be something amazing.

Oct. 29, 2008 | 2:04 PM SpikeVallentine responds:

Thank you for your appreciation and honesty! We did this project on a whim. I wish I could have spent more time on everything, we were pressured by a deadline. the fight scene was affected, I wanted to do more takes but the sun was going down! We didn't coreograph it either, i let their chemistries go at it!

we'll try better next time!

You love crime related action films and just decided to do one of your creation I suppose, so the story wasn't your main concern but the cinematography and editing , in which you did an awesome job.

Oh, and plot twists rock

Oct. 29, 2008 | 2:05 PM SpikeVallentine responds:

yeah, even though "story is everything", it wasn't my focus. ahhaaha plot twists!

thank you for your appreciation!!!!!!!!

SSJ1- "this is just great coming from a regular person"

..what is a "regular person".. every director, artist, musician, inventor...they are regular people. Or at least they started that way.

I thought the film was brilliant, i enjoyed the whole thing and i was really impressed with the cinematography and everything. The shootout locations were brilliant, and especially the second one has a good sense of realism, but i thought you couldve done more to make the characters more aware of fear..

when leon drinks i thought it contradicted his "proffessional" determined character, and when he takes the huge knife to the heart, i felt that was a bit too much punishment for one man to take, and detracted from the realism. The Knife weilding guy was a great role! Very convincing.

Oct. 29, 2008 | 2:07 PM SpikeVallentine responds:

I agree, the characters could have more depth in them. yeah man i love the knife guy! he's so dynamic! and the knife in the chest is a bit over the top, but i wanted I didn't super care , i just wanted to gain experience and try bold new things.

thank you for your honesty and appreciation!

You just kinda answered you own question there...

Oct. 29, 2008 | 2:08 PM SpikeVallentine responds:

i see what you're saying, and i see what he's saying.
I think he's saying everyone's regular, meaning you didn't have to call me regular.

But hey i see what you're saying. Like "i'm nobody/not famous" hahahahah.
i'm still learning and growing, i got a long way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
super long way. it's eternal

Oct. 29, 2008 | 3:20 PM IzaacBarratt says:

I just watched it.
It was very good.
were you an actor or just a camera man or script writer or something ?

Oct. 29, 2008 | 3:57 PM SpikeVallentine responds:

I enjoy being behind the camera. For this project I wrote, directed, produced (with my good friend Titus), edited, did the visual effects, and cinematography. And I prayed to God who helped a lot! (we had streaming blood from one of our buddies while shooting!)

Alright fine, your out of flash now for a while and newgrounds has lacked a great new artist like you in your absence so I'll do a short review on your movie.
As much as i hate to admit it, I enjoyed it. Yeah it was corny and had almost no special effects beside the knife being thrown into the guy (which was pretty cool and well done might I add) But you did a good job to cover it up with obviously very skilled camera work. You guys could have acted worse I suppose so alright on that, and the story line.... well there was none until the end which you did well.
So wait when will SSFL come out and which part did you play in the movie and when will you be back to flash, we all miss you.

Nov. 25, 2008 | 1:56 AM SpikeVallentine responds:

Yeah I been absent, but you know why? TRAINING! You'll see.

Thanks for your appreciation. yeah , leon and the wolf aint the best story or nuthin etc.etc. but WE HAD A BLAST!!!! and LEARNED LOTS!!!!! ExPERIENCE POINTS YOU KNOW?!

Snow snow for lucy, I did writing, directing, animating, and the music. basicly everything except acting.

IT WILL RELEASE SOON! Would be happy if you bought a copy!!!!!

<3!!!!!!!!! It will support our next project.
